Digital Content and Public Relations Specialist (Creative Design)
Position Summary
The Digital Content and Public Relations Specialist is a key player in advancing Mitutoyo America Corporation's content strategy and execution. This role involves setting and aligning content goals and objectives to support business aims, drive brand awareness, lead generation, and enhance customer engagement. The Specialist will utilize AI-driven tools and marketing technologies to create, curate, and distribute content that resonates with target audiences across various customer journey stages. Additionally, the position oversees public relations initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging, maintaining brand reputation, and cultivating strong media relationships.

What You'll Do:
1. Content Development and Strategy Execution
· Oversee day-to-day AI-driven content development, organization, and optimization processes.
· Determine content production needs, develop internally or use AI content generation tools.
2. Content Alignment and Segmentation
· Identify and segment content by product, application, market segment, audience, and customer journey stage.
· Ensure content aligns with customer needs at each buying phase, from awareness to decision-making.
3. Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
· Partner with internal SMEs and decision-makers to create relevant and informative content strategies, ensuring accurate technical representation.
4. Channel Optimization and Multi-platform Content Distribution
· Ensure newly developed and repurposed content is effectively distributed across web, public relations, digital media, sales materials, and educational channels. Utilize AI tools to identify the best-performing channels for customer engagement.
5. Content Quality and Compliance
· Maintain quality assurance for all published material with attention to detail and high-level problem-solving skills. Ensure compliance with corporate style and guidelines.
6. Performance Analysis and Optimization
· Use data analytics to assess content effectiveness, track KPIs, and optimize strategies based on performance insights. Regularly present findings and recommendations to marketing management.
7. Content Management and Archiving
· Develop and implement standards and procedures for CMS usage, categorization, and archiving to ensure easy access and collaboration.
8. Public Relations Program Management
· Act as the primary contact for the PR agency, overseeing day-to-day PR activities. Support, develop, and maintain PR projects that align with corporate goals.
9. Media Relations and Editorial Calendar
· Develop and maintain the editorial calendar and cultivate trade media relationships directly and through the agency to maximize brand visibility.
10. PR Content Development and Placement
· Develop New PR content and placement. Explore opportunities to repurpose existing content for maximum impact.
11. Metrics and Measurement of PR Program
· Define metrics for PR program success, analyze results, and report findings. Continuously refine strategies for improved performance.
12. Media Planning and Buying
· Develop and recommend an annual media plan, working with the agency on media buys across print, digital, social, and PPC platforms. Review strategy with marketing management.
13. Targeted Media Analysis
· Analyze media performance reports to evaluate and adjust the direction for continued optimization and effectiveness.

Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no current supervisory responsibilities for this position.
Work Environment: Office environment.
Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, in-person position.
Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM
Travel: Minimal travel is associated with this position.
Required Education and Experience: 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications or English, or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of material writing and editing experience. Previous experience working in the metrology and industrial manufacturing space a plus. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Planning, scheduling and publishing of content across all communications channels. Experience working with content management systems.
