Shipping Coordinator (Finance)
Job Description:
Royal Canin is looking for a Shipping Coordinator at the Lebanon, TN location!
Required Shift:
- 6:00 am to 6:30 pm (4 days- on- 4 days-off)
- Team will rotate to night shift every three 3 months
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to provide shipping and transfer support to the Production Team. This role is also intended to ensure our product is staged Production use, audited, handled, stored, and shipped and readily tracked efficiently while meeting our high-quality standards and maintaining targeted customer service levels.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
- High School graduate or GED and relevant logistics/transportation experience.
- Basic knowledge of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Enter physical requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certified
What will your key responsibilities be?
- Lead safety & quality in warehouse and shipping operations.
- Adhere to all Mars Inc/Royal Canin Safety & QFS requirements.
- Service the Packaging Line
- Wrap Pallets of Finished Product with Stretch-Wrap Material
- Stack empty bags for Packaging Line as necessary.
- Stack broken down cardboard boxes into case erector for Packaging Line as necessary
- Stage Finished Product in Warehouse and or trailer
- Prepare Trailer for Loading
- Load Trailers with Finished Product
- Unload Production Supplies (Raw material, Packaging, pallets) from Trailers
- Escalate and report all issues to Shipping Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, Shift Manager and or Flow Manager.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and control (cycle counts).
- Verify all required documentation including quality, production, and sanitation records.
- Ensure all Flow housekeeping tasks are performed and ensure the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) is executed. Perform a changeover and walkthrough (MSE CPs) with the oncoming and off-going team to discuss shipping area status and to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Drive for 5S Step-Change in shipping/warehouse
- Oversee and Maintain Forklift Charging/equalization schedule/Rack inspection
- Make sure that all Forklift Pre-Checks are Done and Completed
- Perform assigned task of master sanitation schedule of Extrusion
- Perform miscellaneous tasks the Supervisor or Warehouse Coordinator directs
- Assist in other production areas, as requested.
