Job Description
Tool Room Coordinator
Position Summary:
Handles the day-to-day operations of a tool room, including tool maintenance, distribution,
and project tracking while ensuring tools are in good working condition and available for
use.
Essential Functions:
Oversee tool room operations, including receiving, stocking, and issuing tools
Inspect tools that come in and out of the tool room
Maintain a detailed inventory of tools and equipment
Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
Collaborate with other departments to identify tooling needs
Use of computer system to receive and record daily tooling transactions.
Maintain tool inventory.
Collect broken tooling from machines and dispose in proper location.
Receive and disburse tooling from / to manufacturing floor.
Record daily tooling transactions with accuracy.
Identify tooling and place in proper location.
Conduct cycle counts with accuracy.
Maintain awareness of part numbers and tooling locations.
Inspect finished dies for smoothness and tolerance.
Operate fork truck and hand truck.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills.
Knowledgeable of Tool Room Operations.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Ability to interpret metric and standard dimensions.
Able to work and solve problems with all departments, customers & vendors.
Experience with industrial equipment.
Possess computer competencies with Google.
Keen attention to details.
Ability to multitask with ease.
Education:
HS Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Experience:
1 year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions:
Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours, bend, twist, and climb. Must be
flexible and willing to work any shift, including overtime, weekends and / or holidays.
