An emerging role within SOM, the Senior Manager, Analytics will work closely with the Global Leader of Analytics to carry out a thorough data and reporting strategy for financial and business-critical information, including optimizing data integration from main business systems, implementing best practices and standardizing group procedures, and developing interactive, visualized reporting for key business stakeholders. This role will also be responsible for training junior analysts and supporting the group's overall report development and production.
This is a hands-on role that requires both analytical and leadership skills. The ideal candidate is a strong technologist able to conceive and implement full-scale projects with large impacts start to finish. Providing strategic analysis and delivering high-level recommendations derived from reporting and analysis will be crucial responsibilities for this role.
Position Responsibilities
Work with multiple end-user groups to lead cross-functional projects, such as finance, accounting, leadership or marketing, to develop reporting and analysis programs. Design, develop and deliver accurate, fast and interactive reporting to key business stakeholders.
Manage, administer and optimize global data processes for intake, validation, mining, and data quality management. Develop global standardized processes for report development, testing, visualization and rollout.
Oversee and standardize the report request process - tracking requests and working with firmwide leadership on prioritization, approvals and rollouts.
Ensure data quality, including developing error and qa/qc reporting as necessary.
Develop technical solutions for business problems. Identify areas of improvement in data and reporting practices; suggest solutions and work with leadership to prioritize group initiatives.
Research, analyze and present information pertinent to business performance or company goals/aims, such as market research, opportunities for improvement, company objectives, or firm problem solving.
Implement automation and utilize streamlined reporting where possible to improve functionality, accuracy and efficiency of all team members
Department resource for training, developing and mentoring junior analysts - responsible for managing juniors, including career track and project development.
Build, develop and maintain data models to optimize system processes. Synthesize business needs and create business process maps used to build analysis and data models.
Collaborate with the Office of Technology on data warehousing efforts, ensuring best practices are met.
Fostering the development of a global data culture - helping internal teams make user-driven, evidence-based decisions around finance, business strategy, marketing, and workforce.
Lead measurement/analytics programs for Finance & Accounting across multiple offices and disciplines. Play a strategic and technical role in generating financial analytics, and maintain a global consistency across the entire firm
Architect and lead development of Data Marts for the aggregation, validation, and presentation of firm data
Expert with data integration solutions to prepare, transform, and load data for global business analytic solutions (database design), including creation of a database from multiple data sources; clean, merge and quality control
Ability to perform detailed analysis of source tables and develop reporting requirements to support leadership strategy
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of experience in working on/with projects/products that utilize big data and advanced analytics technologies.
Experienced in project management and proven capability to design and implement complex projects (Agile, Smartsheets experience preferred).
Expert SQL ability and proficiency with minimum 6+ years utilizing a programming language (R or Python preferred)
4+ years of experience with data modeling to design and develop reporting data marts and semantic models with tools such as Tableau, Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Excel, R and Google Suite
Strong knowledge of financial terminology, business model and trends around a professional service business (prior experience in A&E industry a plus).
Minimum 2 years experience with Salesforce CRM required (experience in marketing analytics a plus).
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 8-12 years of work experience working in analysis, analytics or related field of practice.
May require light travel (10%)

Compensation for this role is based upon experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $145,000 to $160,000.
