Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction-Philosophy (Finance)
The Department of Philosophy at the University of South Florida, Tampa Campus, seeks to hire one Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction for the 2025-2026 academic year. The appointment start date is August 7, 2025. This is a 9-month, full-time, visiting position, with the possibility of an extension for a second and/or third year. Nine-month salary for the position is $50,000. Benefits include eligibility for group health insurance. Additional compensated summer teaching opportunities may arise based upon approval and available funding.Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or a closely related field is required. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction. Ph.D. must have been conferred prior to start date of appointment, August 7, 2025.

Preference will be given to applicants with at least one (1) year of post-doctoral experience teaching high-demand philosophy classes, including Introduction to Ethics and Biomedical Ethics, at the undergraduate level.The University of South Florida is a high-impact global research university dedicated to student success.
