Project Estimator (Engineering)

SixAxis designs and manufactures advanced products here in America that increase safety and boost productivity around the globe. We innovate new products and processes for our customers that drive safer, smarter, and more effective solutions. We have expanded multiple times over the past decade to accommodate our continued growth and we are looking for a Project Estimator to join our IT team.

Position Summary:
This role contributes to SixAxis' success by generating accurate and competitive price estimates for customers by analyzing project requirements, calculating costs, and preparing detailed quotations, ensuring timely delivery while maximizing profitability and aligning with company pricing strategies, often collaborating closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and secure business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, sales teams, and vendors
Proficiency in relevant software applications like CRM systems and spreadsheets
Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in pricing and calculations
Understanding of industry standards and pricing dynamics
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines


Qualifications:

A BS degree in a relevant field is preferred, or a 2-year technical degree or equivalent years of experience in engineering science, construction industry, or business fields.
Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning)
Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts
Strong analytical skills, proficiency with cost estimating software, and a good understanding of project scope.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a background in construction management, engineering, or related field.
