Operational Excellence Manager (Maintenance)
What you will do
Assess current business performance, identify gaps, establish and implement improvement plans, monitor progress, and facilitate/share/acquire best-in-class ideas and processes in line with general CI procedures.
Assure the definition and implementation of Best Business Metrics and Practices in all areas in accordance with Global Best Business Practices activities.
Encourage a culture of Continuous Improvement within the business area.
How you will do it
Identify gaps in Best Business Practice Metrics, develops and executes improvement plans and strategies. Assess the current state of plant operations.
Develop a plant vision and drives the development of roadmaps to ensure vision execution.
Facilitate and drive improvement teams or work in cooperation with the OEX Manager to implement improvement plans. Assist process owners to identify barriers to project success.
Measure and track performance of continuous improvement projects. Ensure alignment of metrics with Clarios standards
Accountable for assisting teams to capture financial savings resulting from performance-based improvements.
Champion change management and assist plant manager in delivering strategic/operational excellence initiatives that will aid in compliance with standards or the implementation of new products, processes or other cost-effective solutions that will continuously improve the performance of the plants.
Develop a data-analytics roadmap 4.0 that prepares further opportunities to move from pure data analytics to process predictions and the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and traceability programs and other alfa / beta initiatives (i.e., HPT – High Performance Teams)
Recruit, hire, and retain operational staff. Prepare and deliver clear performance expectations, performance reviews and development plans for direct reports teaming with the appropriate matrix functional manager. Ensure a consistent level of coaching.

Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, related field of study or equivalent work
Preferred
Strong interest in Industry 4.0 topics (e.g., augmented reality, IoT, data mining)
Culture of “Continuous Improvement Thinking” across the organization

Our Florence, Kentucky components plant began operations in 1978 and here is home to our components plant which manufactures PowerFrame® grids and our battery containers and covers. Here we produce around 173,000 cases a day.
