CARE SPECIALIST (Healthcare)
2. Document all services given and other information based on instructions from the Health & Wellness Director, or
designee, and policies/processes for community.
a. Document all services/tasks, completed or declined, accurately according to policy.
b. Document any new information, changes, useful information, and informal communication in the
communication book. Read communication book daily.
3. Participate as a team member at the assisted living community to ensure that residents get their personal care,
spiritual, psychosocial, and environmental needs met within a safe environment.
a. Attend all mandatory meetings and in-services unless excused by leadership team member.
b. Complete all education and updated/new policies assigned by the leadership team.
c. Communicate information to the Health & Wellness Director about the work you do that may help to revise
the plan of care for a resident and improve the quality of the residents services; communicate information
about the operation of the site that will help the team become better employees and make the facility a better
place to live.
d. Be a team player and assist other staff as needed.
e. Demonstrate good customer service skills including treating all residents, family members, visitors, and other
staff with respect and courtesy.
4. Follow all rules, policies and procedures that apply to the services provided at the community.
a. Understand, demonstrate, and know where to find needed information about policies.
