TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join the Smart Mobility team. This position will be based at our Albuquerque Office, NM.

TransCore is seeking an experienced and innovative Sr. Systems Engineer to join in the development of our Smart Mobility Product Initiative with the intent of rethinking how users move, providing innovative, user-friendly solutions to their day-to-day lives reaching millions of users across the globe. This "zero to one" role is pivotal in building an entirely new product from scratch. As a senior systems engineer, you will provide recommendations for designs, influences development decisions, and test all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and systems. Perform routine system design tasks associated with the development of new products or sustaining existing products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop hardware and systems level interface specifications.
Perform system/subsystem design and implementation.
Define customer needs and required functionality.
Estimate effort to develop and deliver complete systems.
Read and interpret device interface specifications.
Directly interface with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
Design/assemble/select system components.
Perform site surveys and provides input to drafting.
Write requirements documents and designs solutions to meet the requirements.
Write acceptance test plans and procedures and obtains customer approvals.
Manage moderate to large sized projects, including schedules and customer expectations.
Manage vendor and subcontractor deliverables and schedules.
Manage and/or perform installations of equipment/systems and executes acceptance tests.
Technical Proposal preparation.
May perform circuit and board design.
May prepare Engineering drawings and documentation.
Develop BOM's, drawings, schematics and other design related documents.
Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers.
Periodic travel to customer installation sites.

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Electrical Engineering or related field from four-year college or university.
Experience: Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Knowledge: Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Job Complexity: Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
