About the role
PKL Services will be providing contractor Intermediate Level (I-Level) maintenance in support Fleet Readiness Center West Detachment China Lake (FRCW DET CL) at Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, CA.
The Production Control (Logs & Records) Clerk is responsible for the accuracy and currency of logs and records and associated SESS/CM ALS. Screen incoming WOs, logs and records, and CM ALS for all inspections and repairs required to be performed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Screen all maintenance records and documents and make the required logbook and records entries. Close out logbooks and records (as necessary). Responsible for the accurate and timely documentation of maintenance in NALCOMIS, SESS, and CM. Issues inspections, maintenance, and Technical Directives for equipment. Maintains records and documents for support equipment. Proficiently perform all operator, data entry and retrieval functions associated with aircraft and recordkeeping per applicable references. Performs a wide range of clerical and administrative duties related to aircraft and equipment maintenance, such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing and typing, performing database and systems analysis.

A minimum of five (5) years experience in logs, records, and maintenance administration requirements. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Individuals released from military service with other than Honorable Discharges do not meet minimum qualifications. All Contractors are required to have a Common Access Card (CAC) and shall be required to pass the equivalent of a trustworthy National Agency Check plus, Written Inquiries with Credit Check (NACI). Shall be a U.S. citizen and be able to read, write and understand the English language. Must have a valid drivers license. Must be eligible to qualify for and able to maintain a Secret level security clearance. Must be knowledgeable in all phases of OPNAV 4790.2 series and related aircraft maintenance and reporting requirements. Occasional TDY travel is required.

$43.62 hourThis is a full time/ non-exempt/ union position.The company sponsors group medical, dental, vision, basic life paid coverage plans for the employee/family. Physical Demands Work Environment:
Primarily in an office environment but may traverse into high noise workshop areas or near active jet aircraft operating ramps. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key). This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing. The noise level in the primary work environment is usually moderate. May be exposed at times to moderate discomforts such as heat, cold, rain, wind.
