General Cardiology APRN or PA (Finance)
Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.
This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64. Preferred Certified Acute Care or Acute Care Adult Gerontologic Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible.

Grow Here .ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Assist and coordinate patient care with referring provider, outpatient follow up and recommendations based on findings. Education of patient and family regarding diagnosis, findings, and follow-up. Address patient and staff inquiries and questions via medical record. Documentation of all orders, procedures, and progress notes on the patient's electronic medical record.
CLINICAL: Evaluation with diagnostic testing and history taking in the patient population with a suspected or confirmed cardiology diagnosis referred from Internal Medicine, Emergency physicians, or other specialties. Triages inpatient consults, and patient phone calls renew prescriptions, coordinates care, and assessed post-procedure problems.
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, service, and related activities. May be responsible for research and/or academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees. Performs other duties as assigned.
