Employment Specialist I (Finance)
This position will provide employment coaching services to individuals with documented disabilities within the Group(Enclave) model of Supported employment.
Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Assesses and evaluates client's skill level and support need in a person centered approach to aid in job training and task assignment.
2. Provides job coaching and overall supervision of program participant work site activities.
3. Develops service plans to include strategies that assist in improving program participant's work performance to achieve employment goals/outcomes.
4. Maintains rapport and consistent communication with referral agencies regarding the progress of program candidates. This may also include attending staffing and service planning meetings.
5. Partners and collaborates with host department team members to ensure departmental goals are met.
6. Responsible for the oversight and management of each participant's time card.
7. Maintains program files in accordance with program standards, CARF, AbilityOne Commission guidelines, DBHDS, DOL and other funding agency standards and the confidentiality thereof. This includes daily completion of case narratives in a comprehensive and accurate manner to include progress toward their employment goals.
8. Utilizes case management system to accurately input and track program participant data.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in a related field required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• Required to pass state and federal criminal background and sex offender checks. Depending upon contract specifications, may also be required to pass CPS and LEIE background checks and other background checks as necessary.
• Ability to operate PC and databases. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook.
