SUMMARY:
The Program on Violence and Extremism (PV&E) team leads USIP's work on rehabilitation and reintegration (R&R) of people disengaging from extremist violence. The Senior Expert, RISE will serve as a core member of the PV&E team, leveraging the Rehabilitation and Reintegration through Individual, Social, and Structural Engagement (RISE) Action Guide to provide technical support on issues relating to R&R.
This position will lead the implementation of the RISE Action Guide by developing and delivering trainings and workshops, maintaining and deepening USIP's network among stakeholders across the USG interagency and key NGOs, and liaising with USIP's regional and program teams to provide technical assistance with ongoing programs and program design for new ones.
This is a part-time Personal Services Contractor position for approximately 8 hours per week, based in Washington, DC. The Senior Expert will work primarily with the Senior Program Officer and the Director of the Program on Violence and Extremism and will be a member of USIP's Center for Thematic Excellence. The position is expected to work 8 hours per week.
