Safety Coordinator (Construction)
Lead and oversee safety protocols and procedures, including conducting inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Train, mentor, and provide guidance to Safety Technicians to ensure consistent adherence to safety standards and procedures.
Conduct regular audits of safety equipment, facilities, and work practices to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety issues and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain safety procedures, emergency response plans, and incident reporting protocols.
Monitor and analyze safety-related data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Communicate safety-related issues, findings, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the development of safety policies and initiatives.
Conduct safety training sessions and toolbox talks to educate employees on safety procedures and best practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
KEY RESULTS:
Achieve a 95% or higher compliance rate with safety protocols and procedures based on regular inspections and audits.
Conduct thorough inspections, provide constructive feedback to technicians, and implement corrective actions to address safety deficiencies.
Maintain a high level of safety awareness and compliance among employees, with a 90% or higher safety training completion rate.
Provide effective safety training, communicate safety policies and procedures clearly, and actively promote safety awareness initiatives.
Implement at least two safety improvement initiatives per quarter to enhance workplace safety measures and reduce the risk of accidents.
Identify potential safety hazards, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions, and monitor outcomes to ensure effectiveness.
Reduce the rate of workplace accidents by 20% within the first year of tenure.
Analyze accident data to identify root causes, develop and implement preventive measures, and provide ongoing support to prevent recurrence.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in safety-related roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Experience in leading and mentoring teams, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in conducting safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour General Industry) is a plus.
