Medical Records Specialist (Full time, Morrisville, NC based) (Healthcare)
The Medical Records Specialist assists with the management and maintenance of the medical and administrative records of Alliance Health. The employee also ensures the records are maintained according to laws and regulations and the organization's policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for keeping medical and administrative record information confidential and protected from loss or destruction.
This position will allow hybrid work 1-2 days per week following successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.

Record Retention and Destruction
Assist with Provider Medical Records
Maintain Records Tracking Systems
Assist with Internal Trainings and Technical Assistance Related to Records

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree in Medical Records Science, Medical Records Administration, or related field from an accredited school and two (2) years medical record experience including processing release of information requests, and experience with state and federal rules and regulations regarding confidentiality.
Or
Bachelor's degree in Medical Records Science, Medical Records Administration, or related field from an accredited school and one (1) year of medical records experience, which includes one (1) year of processing release of information requests, and knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations regarding confidentiality.
Salary Range
$19.73 - $25.16/Hourly
Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
