RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with a variety of ALLETE Tax staff members to complete projects relevant to the day-to-day operations of the organization
Potential projects may include, but are not limited to:
Preparation of income tax and sales tax returns
Preparation of monthly tax entries
Assist with regulatory reporting
Assist with audit support
Maintenance and documentation of new or existing financial controls
REQUIREMENTS:
Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between May 2026 and June 2027
Preferred majors include: Accounting and Finance
Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite Skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations
Ability to work on multiple projects
DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:
This internship will report in person to Duluth, MN
This role is expected to begin May/June 2025 and is expected to end May 2026
The internship will be full time during summer, transitioning to a part time basis during academic terms up until graduation
