Inventory Supervisor (Administrative)
Description
Position Summary
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of all cannabis and non-cannabis materials within the facility. This includes receiving and tracking inventory, performing inventory counts, and reconciling inventory records. The Inventory Supervisor also works to develop and implement inventory control procedures and weekly production plans and supervises the work of the Inventory team.
Responsibilities & Duties
Receive and track all incoming and outgoing inventory for the entire production facility. Oversees internal transactions between departments.
Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile inventory records.
Execute inventory control procedures and comply with all state and local regulations related to cannabis inventory management.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that there is always a sufficient supply of products to meet demand plan and production goals.
Maintain quality control measures, record results, and report performance to management.
Compile and submit inventory reports to the Production Manager and Plant Manager/Director of Operations.
Supervises the inventory team, providing coaching and development for improved performance and accurate results.
Actively contributes to maintaining a safe work environment by following applicable safety procedures, wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management.
Behaves in a positive, productive, cooperative manner, and encourages teamwork.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma required or GED, associate degree preferred
3-5 years of inventory and compliance experience or equivalent required, cannabis industry experience required.
Ability to generate reports and complete inventory transactions in Sage.
Experience and proficiency in Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft Office suite, and Google Apps for Work
Knowledge of state cannabis regulations
High attention to detail and compliance mindset
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time
Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours
Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, and crouch in order to access product
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Ability to push/pull carts up to 100 - 200lbs
Visual acuity needed for viewing screens and fine print
Manual dexterity needed for data entry
Workplace Environment
Consistent moderate background noise level due to HVAC
Ability to work in confined vault space without natural light
