Physician Billing Specialist (Finance)

Provide billing services for a large multi-specialty practice.Education & Skills:

Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• Surgical Technician coursework from accredited program preferred.
• A minimum of two years experience preferred.

• Manage accounts receivable follow up, ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Review reports and follow-up on billed charges.
• Prepare accounts receivable and IDX reports, as needed.
• Train other employees on the various IDX modules, as needed.
• Enter daily charge information, including CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS codes as selected by faculty physicians.
• Post payments to IDX accounts in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
