Managing Director (Project Management)
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
We are looking for a strong manufacturing leader, ideally with a semiconductor or medical equipment background, to run our assembly and test contract manufacturing services business. This person has P&L responsibility. The candidate should have a strong sense of meeting customer commitments in the area of quality, on time delivery and cost. We are looking for someone who can lead the transformation of the Livermore and San Jose CMS business into a NPI CMS services site in Livermore and continue transitioning the HVM products from Livermore to our sister factory in Malaysia. Strong coordination and influencing skills are required to support this NPI-HVM business model.
This position reports to the Vice President of Ferrotec USA.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Responsible for supplier quality, global supply chain, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing, quality, warehouse/logistics, planning, program management, and customer service organizations. The emphasis for this role is on the Manufacturing process knowledge. Driven to meet cost, on time delivery, and quality goals. Works closely with counterpart in Malaysia to accomplish global objectives Monitors and evaluates workflow and assembly methods to shorten lead times, improve efficiencies and lower costs. Works closely with the customer on weekly reporting requirements and new products.
Responsible for 6S and ISO auditsProvides continuous improvement plans and objectives for the team.Monitors customer consignment bin levels and makes production changes as necessary to meet demand.Develops policies and proceduresEnsures that all departments are properly organized, staffed, and directed and that personnel are properly qualified, trained, and supervised to perform their duties effectively. Develops and implements succession plans for each functional area.Develops a 3-year strategic plan for the business unit. Implements approved plans and programs.Responsible for P&L results for business unit operations. Weekly and monthly reports operational and financial performance to Group CEO.Ensures business unit activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.Works closely with the Sales function to obtain new business opportunities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelors degree, preferably in a technical discipline, and 15+ years experienceExperience within a manufacturing in a semiconductor or medical equipment environment High level of integrity Strong sense of urgency and desire to exceed customer expectations Operational, Manufacturing, and Business skills required Knowledge of MRP / KPI based management Ability to travel internationally at least quarterly Oracle experience is a plus
