Market Director, Elle Decor (Creative Design)

ELLE DECOR is seeking a talented design expert with a superb eye to be its new market director. This role will oversee the brand's home-design coverage by sourcing the best new products in various categories—furniture, fabrics, tabletop, kitchen & bath, and more—for all of the front-of-book columns within each issue and on elledecor.com. The market director will meet with key advertising partners and designers at trade shows and appointments both in New York City and out of town, to forecast trends and select products to feature across all platforms.  The director will also help write captions and display copy for market pages, and bring a strong visual sense and point of view to the magazine, website and social. 8-10 years of experience at a national consumer magazine is essential, with a deep concentration and focus on the home design/shelter category. Above all, creativity and enthusiasm are paramount for this role.
