This role is ideal for a seasoned communications professional and strategic thinker with exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be experienced in B2B and B2C communications and will be passionate about executing internal communications to drive engagement and awareness.
Position Overview:
The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that support the company's strategic objectives, enhance brand visibility, and engage internal and external audiences. This role will involve managing media relations, creating compelling content, and leading communications initiatives across a variety of platforms.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both internal and external communications, a strong background in writing, and a deep understanding of how to craft messages that resonate with different audiences. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to elevate the company's voice and reputation. Limited travel will be required based on business needs.

Strategic Communications Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the company's goals and brand.
Media Relations: Develop press releases and story angles to secure press coverage and improve brand visibility. Coordinate earned media and thought leadership placement.
Internal Communications: Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy to engage, inform, and align employees with the company's mission and values. Create and distribute a monthly company-wide newsletter and develop engaging employee intranet content to drive traffic.
External Communications: Develop and execute a comprehensive external communications strategy to inform and engage current and prospective customers and partners.
Content Creation: Write and edit a wide range of content, including press releases, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive bios, social media updates, case studies, white papers, product literature, video scripts, website copy, etc.
Crisis Communications: Collaborate with leadership to develop messaging for sensitive or crisis situations. Act as a key point of contact for media inquiries during crises and ensure that all stakeholders remain apprised of developments.
Event Promotion: Support communication efforts for company events, conferences, webinars, and product launches. Develop promotional materials and coordinate communications to ensure successful event execution.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leadership and departments across the organization to ensure effective communication strategies that engage both internal and external stakeholders.
Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor media coverage, social media mentions, and internal communications metrics. Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of communications strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the background, knowledge, skills, education, and abilities required.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role, preferably with experience leading communications for a public sector audience.
Proven track record of writing and editing clear, engaging, and accurate content for a variety of audiences and channels and managing a multi-stakeholder review and approval process.
Strong understanding of media relations, including experience crafting and issuing press releases, with the ability to develop story angles, pitch journalists, and secure coverage.
Experience managing internal communications, including newsletters, intranet content, and employee communications.
Proficiency with digital communications, including social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and analytics tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and maintain a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Familiarity with graphic design or multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus but not required.
