The Analyst II, Category Development - Breakfast/Snacking, contributes to driving sausage sales by collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and retail customers. This role involves providing valuable data insights, analysis, information support, and training. This position focuses on:

Creating & distributing selling stories to strengthen our leadership based on insights discovered throughout the year
Responsibilities:
Develop insights that drive category and brand strategy with the Brand team
Assist in creating and implementing a transformative Category Leadership Vision that delivers sustainable results for both Johnsonville and the customer by supporting:
Top to top customer meetings
Joint Business Planning (JBP) sessions
Category Reviews
Comprehensive selling strategies for assortment, shelving, pricing, promotions, and innovation that effectively bring the disruptive Category Leadership Vision to life for customers
Create and implement best practices and KPIs for category assortment and shelving
Collaborate with Sales Strategy, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and Brand Teams to align and create effective go-to-market strategies and tactics for customers
Partner with Sales Strategy and RGM to ensure the timely delivery of sales insights, information, and selling stories for effective sales execution with customers
Continuously educate Brand Marketing, Sales, and Senior Leadership on marketplace, category, and shopper dynamics, as well as insights and trends that impact Johnsonville and the categories in which we compete
Build and maintain a deep understanding of market and category trends
Generate and share insights for annual market share forecasting and monthly reporting
Clearly communicate the factors driving base volume changes to support internal annual and trimester business planning activities
Lead customized analytical projects such as marketing mix, price elasticity, and assortment analysis
Drive efficient and integrated internal reporting to create a single source of truth
Foster strong collaborative partnerships with cross-functional team members and research partners such as Circana, Numerator, Scintilla, 84.51 and dunnhumby
Education:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, accounting, finance, or a related field is required
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience working successfully in a CPG category insight function, required
Customer POS and loyalty card data expertise (i.e., dunnhumby, 84.51, Scintilla) preferred
Skills:
Demonstrated success in using assortment, pricing, and marketing mix analysis to drive revenue growth
Strong project management skills
Ability to develop an objective point of view while building strong relationships with internal clients
Excellent communication skills along with strong organizational and presentation abilities to effectively interact with all levels of Johnsonville customers and team members
Strong math and analytical skills
Capable of transforming insights into actionable business growth opportunities
