ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Motivates, evaluates, and directs staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives. Ensures that all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback and resources necessary.
Provides superior service to all customers --the general public and Grand Targhee employees, maintaining a friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
Greets customers and determining their needs.
Effectively communicates with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and all other outside contacts.
Delegates responsibility, motivate and leads direct reports to achieve goals and objectives.
Maintains schedules in compliance with business and staffing levels.
Checks in all new merchandise, stocks shelves, arrange windows and other displays throughout the store.
Represents resort at industry specific functions and local community as necessary to contribute operational expertise and value.
Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of store inventory.
Conducts physical inventories when needed.
Directs customers to the appropriate merchandise, providing them with adequate information (current trends, technical details, fabric characteristics, etc.) to make a satisfactory purchase.
Work closely with vendors and manufacturers representatives in procuring merchandise.
Lead the budgeting process and work within budgeting guidelines to order merchandise. Use industry knowledge and expertise to order products that will achieve sales and revenue goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times.
Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort's Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises approximately 5-8 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Must have previous supervisory experience.
Previous cash handling experience is mandatory.
Excellent communication skills are required.
General proficiency with computers and knowledge of spreadsheet software applications.
Prior Point-of-Sale (POS) experience preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
