POSITION SUMMARY
As an AI Intern at SGK, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, supporting our AI Lab and AI Council in their mission to seamlessly integrate AI technologies into SGK's operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI initiatives while ensuring ethical and legal compliance. You'll dive deep into R&D, exploring new AI models, particularly in the open-source community, and recommending valuable solutions for SGK's workflow and client deliverables. This internship provides an exceptional learning experience in AI fundamentals and their practical applications across various business functions. You'll engage in hands-on model development and testing, interact with seasoned professionals, and gain invaluable insights into the intersection of AI and creative industries.
The summer AI Internship at SGK is a full-time, hybrid position based in East Butler, PA. Interns will work on-site two to three days per week, gaining hands-on experience while collaborating with our team in a dynamic and innovative environment. Click "Apply Now" for consideration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research & Development:Explore innovative AI models, including large language models, image and video generation, and bespoke solutions.
• Creative Collaboration:Work closely with creative teams, training them on AI tool integration and identifying challenges ripe for AI enhancement.
• AWS Bedrock Optimization:Leverage and maximize AI models within the AWS Bedrock environment.
• Agile Development:Support quick, iterative development cycles to evaluate model effectiveness.
• Innovation Contribution:Bring fresh ideas and solutions to expand our AI capabilities.
• Documentation & Dissemination: Capture the designs (e.g. architectural diagrams) and corroborating decisions behind the delivered technical capabilities as well as user-friendly descriptions of the resulting functionality (e.g. how-to guides) for current and future technicians and users to comprehend.
• Special Projects:Assist with additional initiatives as they arise, showcasing your versatility and eagerness to learn.
• Additional duties are assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate program in AI/ML, Data Science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art AI models.
• Passion for AI's potential and its ethical implementation.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex topics simply.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Experience with ComfyUI or building AI data pipelines.
• Understanding of NLP techniques (sentiment analysis, text generation, summarization).
• Bonus: Experience with AWS Bedrock and SageMaker platforms. Experience with Adobe Products and Monday.com
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for enhancing human creativity through AI.
• Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to work onsite in East Butler, PA two to three days per week or as needed.
