Senior Cost Accountant (Finance)

Position Summary:
Function as a business partner with the company's operating units in the development and analysis of manufacturing standard costs and project costs across multiple product lines. As a liaison for the Finance department, position is responsible for actively working with production personnel to assist in identifying cost reduction opportunities based on operational experience on the shop floor. Position also plays a key departmental role with month-end financial close responsibilities, financial reporting, forecasting and the annual budgeting process.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 5 years of related manufacturing cost accounting experience; background in project cost management and government contracts a plus.
Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles. Clear understanding of financial statements including Balance Sheets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive communication and ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally
Planful and results driven.
Attention to detail to accurately and efficiently meet aggressive deadlines.
Experience with an ERP General Ledger environment is key. MRP exposure is a plus.
Database report writing experience is essential.
Flexible and adaptable to changes in work assignments and/or priorities.
Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Compensation
Salary Minimum: $100,000
Salary Maximum: $120,000
