ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Division of Student Success at the University of South Florida is comprised of 60 departments, providing students with academic support, engagement opportunities, health & wellness services and enhancement of the educational experience.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary function of the role is to support the Business Analysis Manager in documenting processes between the Strategic Enrollment Management Teams and SEM Council and various campus partners throughout the university, to gather and document business requirements on behalf of enrollment management and planning. This individual will also assist in creating process documentation, analyze and identify opportunities for process improvement, maintain deadline calendars, fact sheets and documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Process Analysis
Work with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements, processes, and workflows. Analyze existing business processes to identify areas for improvement, inefficiencies, and potential automation. Propose and implement solutions to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment and communication. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with stakeholders to gather input, provide updates, and manage expectations. Ensure that stakeholder needs are understood and addressed in the development and implementation of business solutions.
Documentation and Flow Charts
Create comprehensive and accurate documentation of business processes, including process maps, workflow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Regularly audit and update process documentation to ensure it remains current and reflects any process changes. Maintain a document repository for business units.
Continuous Improvement
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the business analysis function and across the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with at least two years of experience in a business analysis or project management role. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
