Clinical Assistant Instructor of Speech-Language Pathology (Finance)
The University of South Florida (USF) Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is searching for a 12-month Clinical Assistant Instructor of Speech-Language Pathology. The person in this position will provide clinical instruction and supervision to MS-SLP students in clinical practice in a university-based, billing clinic. This position will focus on training students to work with various disorders and populations (adult neurogenics and/or pediatrics), in-house and in community-based settings. Position may include academic instruction in our graduate and undergraduate programs. Clinical faculty regularly partner with academic and other clinical instructors across specialties in the delivery of graduate coursework to showcase the implementation of evidence-based practices in clinical care. The candidate will also provide service to the university through faculty governance at the department, college, and/or university level and will provide service outside the university to the community and/or profession. This position will begin ASAP. The ideal candidate would have native like proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.Minimum Qualifications: \n • Masters in Speech-Language Pathology \n • Holds or eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) \n • Holds or eligible for Florida State License in SLP (Florida Dept. of Health) \n
\n Preferred Qualifications: \n • Native like proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal \n • At least 5 years of experience in the field of Speech-Language Pathology \n • Demonstrates clinical expertise in pediatric evaluation and treatment. \n • Experience conducting bilingual evaluations and implementing bilingual treatment. \n • Experience supervising graduate students/interns for a minimum of 3 years post-CF \n • Experience working in pediatric and/or adult clinical settings, such as private practice, home-health care, hospitals, and/or outpatient facilities \n • Demonstrates knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and application of the KASA standards \n • At least 2 hours of CEU/CPD in clinical instruction and supervision \n • Holds active NPI, Medicare, and Medicaid numbersThe University of South Florida is a high-impact global research university dedicated to student success.
