The iconic Hotel del Coronadois looking for a Training Manager to join th e team ! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion , the resort is more stunning than ever.
Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 7 50 rooms , cottages and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Training and Quality, assist with and develop training for the ~1500 team members on property.
The ideal candidate will have previous Training Manager experience in a Hospitality environment, is a self-starter and is solution oriented.
Classification: Full-Time
Shift: Monday - Friday with some weekends or nights based on need
Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?
The Training Manager reporting to the Director of Training and Quality, will be responsible for leading the guest service training initiatives at the property. In addition, the Training Manager will assist with leadership development, succession planning, talent development and other training needs as required. This position will also work on onboarding and training requirements that are critical to the success of the property.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Be a driver of the properties Stay Experience Platform. Determine trends and work with departments to develop action plans for training to improve overall guest service deliverables on property. Document and share successful campaigns to ensure consistent, high touch and impactful guest service programing. Review hotel training and update as necessary. Analyze current training needs for the hotel departments and individuals and make recommendations as needed. Develops or research training for specific hotel needs.
• Lead new team member orientation and ensure new team member onboarding experience is impactful and always holds to Hiltons Values. Develop, Update and Deliver content that drives both Team Member Engagement and Guest Experience once the participant leaves the classroom. Ensure that material is always updated and in accordance with current standards.
• Develop, Coordinate and Execute Manager/Leadership training at the property. Partner with the corporate team to deliver manager leadership training. Plan, implement, coordinate and/or present corporate training programs in accordance with current Hilton requirements including but not limited to harassment-free workplace, diversity, new team member orientation, communication, leadership and service series and related training to meet specific departmental needs.
• Work with leadership to execute a talent management plan for leaders at the property. Plan and conduct meetings with department managers, trainers, and employees to review performance trends, develop action plans and give recognition. Monitor non-exempt performance reviews.
• Track, input, maintain and audit all individual employee training records of in-house programs including department orientation records for new hires on a computer system.
• Develop annual training calendar. Compile monthly and quarterly reports of training activity. Conduct necessary analysis to assess specific departmental and training needs.
