Managing Consultant, Sustainable Products and Circularity (Senior Level) (Project Management)
ERM seeks a motivated Managing Consultant, Sustainable Products and Circularity, to join our growing Sustainable Products and Supply Chain technical team in Texas. In this role, you will manage and contribute technically to challenging product compliance, life cycle assessments, and circularity projects and programs for clients locally, nationally, and internationally. The successful candidate will also network with ERM's global Sustainable Products and Supply Chain teams to share consulting opportunities, business relationships, and the application of best practices to address client needs.

Our many leaders proactively work together to build strategies and campaigns around key business drivers for our clients, with the primary focus of finding and delivering high-profile rewarding projects and building our business, whether it be for designing corporate circularity strategy, implementing extended producer responsibility programs, reviewing and interpreting the latest product sustainability compliance requirements, or helping clients implement innovative, sustainable changes resulting from detailed life cycle assessments.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in product sustainability requirements and trends for the Chemical, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, and/or Technology sectors. Prior consulting experience, as well as task or project management experience is required, as this position will be working directly with our project teams to manage clients and project delivery teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/MS in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental), environmental science, or related degree.
Experience or interest in supervising direct reports.
Relevant consulting experience with product compliance, product sustainability, circularity, extended producer responsibility (EPR), packaging compliance, life cycle assessments, 5 years minimum.
An ideal candidate would have experience in both of the following;
Experience as a Life Cycle Assessment Practitioner. Using LCA tools (e.g. SimaPro, GaBi, openLCA), gathering life cycle inventories, filling data gaps, building models, performing technical review, interpreting results, and evaluating sensitivity analysis.
Experience reviewing and consulting on regulatory topics. Assessing regulatory applicability of laws, rules, and agency publications; compliance reporting; and communicating with and working with regulatory agencies.
Experience in managing projects, including scope, schedule and budgets, communications, and interactions with clients. 5 years minimum.
Well established reputation and recognized technical expertise by the marketplace.
Proven experience in business development and desire to grow commercial skills, including client sales engagements and directly contributing to ERM's annual sales goals.
Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and “people” skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability to build, coach, and mentor collaborative teams.
