Senior Cloud Application Architect (Administrative)

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Cloud Application Architect position is an advanced IT professional responsible for determining and developing architectural approaches and solutions, researching new technologies and approaches, creating standards and roadmaps, and developing recommendations for migrating to future standards. The Architect is expected to have familiarity in one or more architectural domains and to contribute to the overall planning of the overall organizational IT strategy.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect and Design scalable, secure, and highly available, cost-effective cloud application solutions based on business needs.
  • Design microservices or serverless applications, focusing on cloud-native development practices, such as containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and DevOps principles.
  • Design solutions using RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs to facilitate communication between cloud services and third-party applications.
  • Design Event-driven architectures to use message queues like kafka, RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication.
  • Architect solutions using API gateway, load balancers for efficient routing, authentication, rate limiting and security.
  • Design AI/ML Application systems for various business use cases that are scalable, cost-efficient and secured.
  • Design RAG agents, SQL-based agents, Prompt Engineering, Vectorization techniques for AI applications.
  • Leverage cloud platforms for distributed training and scaling of AI/ML models, utilizing specialized hardware accelerators like GPUs or TPUs.
  • Choose appropriate cloud services (e.g., compute, storage, databases, PaaS) based on the use case, considering cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Architect solutions that span across multiple cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, AWS, Google Cloud) or integrate on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Design secure cloud architectures that follow industry standards and best practices, such as data encryption, secure APIs, identity management, and access controls
  • Ensure cloud applications comply with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards.
  • Implement and test disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Develop PoCs for emerging technologies or solutions that could benefit the organization.
  • Design continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) Devops solutions in Azure ADO and Github. improve development velocity and code quality.
  • Create architecture diagrams and system designs to visualize and communicate the solution architecture.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, Development, Governance and project Management teams.
  • Conduct architecture review and training session.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience architecting, designing, developing mission critical enterprise applications in Cloud native and on-prime environments.
  • Deep expertise in one or more cloud providers tech stack (Azure, OCI, AWS, Google Cloud), OCI and Azure experience is preferable.
  • Expert knowledge with one or more programming languages commonly used in cloud development (Python, Java, Go, Node.js and .Net).
  • Knowledge with shell programming languages like PowerShell and bash.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Knowledge of security concepts like IAM, encryption, and compliance requirements.
  • Expert knowledge on SAML SSO configurations and Entra ID integration for cloud applications.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Integration workflows, Connection Adapters and authentication protocols.
  • Knowledge on Oracle cloud HCM and ERP is a big plus.
  • Knowledge on Azure OpenAI, OCI GenAI solutions, RAG and SQl agents' development, Vector search optimizations.
  • Decent knowledge on AI models, optimizations and training.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and clarity in presentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with self-motivated individual.

  • Office environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and use hands.
