Research Assistant I/II - Neurology (Stroke) (Finance)
One major duty will be maintaining the animal lines, weaning, and genotyping. Several of these lines have involved breeding and genotyping strategies (e.g. an inducible cell-specific knockout on a reporter background). In addition, will perform behavioral analyses on mice and rats in order to determine neurological/behavioral deficits. Will be responsible for maintaining tissue cultures (e.g. primary neuronal culture, microglia/astrocytes cultures). Will contribute to the blinding and randomization procedures by preparing coded reagents/drugs/etc. and harvesting animal tissues.

Under close direction of senior research staff, conducts activities to support research projects.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
No years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds constantly and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
