Senior Design Engineer (Finance)



Position Summary:

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for developing 3D models and drawing packages for complex electromechanical parts and assemblies. Utilizing NX and other CAD packages. The position requires working knowledge of design, drafting, and manufacturing techniques. The position is responsible for developing accurate drawing packages and Oracle BOM releases for both new and updated designs. The Senior Design Engineer may also be required to implement, review, and approve engineering changes. Including assisting other individuals in properly implementing change requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares technical drawings, proposals, design layouts, and document concepts and sketches
  • Evaluates manufacturing and machining feasibility of design
  • Checks other engineering design documentation
  • Selects and evaluates component and material selections
  • Assists in design concepts and conducting manufacturability reviews
  • Support IPT engineering design teams
  • Serves as lead to cross-functional design to maintain existing designs
  • Manage complete implementation of engineering design change requests
  • Enters new Oracle item masters and BOM structures

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong background as a Mechanical Designer
  • Knowledge of materials, parts, and processes
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and machining techniques
  • Knowledge of drawing ANSI standards and GD&T procedures
  • Knowledge of basic Mil-Specs and MIL-STD's
  • Expertise in parametric CAD design
  • Highly motivation, team player
  • Good verbal and written communicator
  • Technically disciplined, releasing designs accurately and on schedule
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent in related experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work for prolonged periods on a computer or in a lab environment
  • Ability to move equipment up to 25 pounds

Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $110,000

Salary Maximum: $150,000

Incentive: No
