Your Role: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic
The successful candidate will join a team of highly trained, multi-skilled craftsman that perform tasks in a wide range of mechanical disciplines. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide troubleshooting, repair and periodic maintenance of steam systems, water systems, compressed air systems, electrical systems, HVAC related equipment and associated facilities support equipment.
2nd Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 3pm - 11:30pm
Your Responsibilities:
The ability to perform detailed documentation of repair and preventive maintenance activities into a document detailing the problem, cause and remedy.
Demonstrated understanding of systems, equipment, and processes including boilers, air handling units, water generating / purification systems, compressed air systems, and steam generation systems.
Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts or equipment.
Follow OSHA standards and lockout tag out procedures.
Furnish a complete set of hand tools.
Perform basic shop math and practical shop calculations with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Provide basic measurements and measuring tools in either metric and/or US standard systems.
Implement metal work, sawing, welding, and grinding.
Knowledgeable of basic electricity and electronics.
Independently perform methods of measuring current, voltage, resistance, simple OHMS law calculations, and reading both electrical and mechanical schematics.
Proceed independently without direct supervision.
Use a computer to keep accurate and complete records, meeting cGMP documentation practices.
Demonstrate an understanding of mechanical systems to allow effective and efficient troubleshooting.
May be subject to and pass regular checks as required, such as DEA background checks.
Perform jobs of the lower grades as required.
Knowledge of basic AC/DC electricity and electronics, including 3-phase electrical systems.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
High School Diploma/GED with 5 years experience in Maintenance or related field or an Associate's degree in Maintenance or related field
Meet the physical requirements of the job (Walking, bending, lifting, confined space entry, etc…)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to teach others effectively.
Be able to read and follow detailed verbal or written instruction.
Demonstrated ability to effectively convey information in an appropriate and effective manner.
Perform calculations and conversions involving weights, volumes, and percentages.
Demonstrated analytical skill/problem solving skills – identifies problems, recognizes symptoms, causes, and alternative solution.
Knowledge and skill to recognize creative ideas that add value and are able to be implemented to improve efficiency, effectiveness and reduce complexity.
Demonstrated ability to set-up and troubleshoot equipment as required.
Experience with Windows Operating System as well as a Computerized Maintenance Management System and other maintenance systems.
Effective and efficient organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
Proficient reading, comprehension and application skills toward a diverse set of complicated tasks.
The ability to work in adverse outdoor conditions.
Understanding of AC and DC electricity and how to measure voltage presence and absence.

What Will Give You the Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in the refrigeration field, universal refrigeration license.
Electrical license.
Experience in High Pressure boilers and steam related equipment.
HVAC maintenance.
