Mainframe Operations Support Developer (Finance)

Infosys is seeking a Mainframe Operations Support Developer with detailed experience in Mainframe (PL/1, C370 based) Infrastructure, Mid-range, Server Administration and maintenance. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency to install, setup, operate and maintain mainframe infrastructure across pre-production and production environments including creation of deployment plans, operational procedures, monitoring and support; play an important role in enabling high infrastructure availability; supports Business and development teams with timely resolutions of issues, deliver high quality code deliverables, installation scripts, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of experience in maintaining Mainframe infrastructure, mid-range servers running PL/1, C370, Assembler, Mark IV variants
3+ years of experience in Solaris, RHEL Server Administration
3+ years of experience in Tier 1 & Tier 2 End user support

Preferred Qualifications:
Plan, install, configure, customize and monitor IBM z/OS operating system software and various other IBM software including but not limited to CICS, DB2, IMS
Proficiency in PL/1 Assembler
Installation and configuration of IBM z/OS and related HW
Configuration of network, backup, journaling, security, disaster recovery
Support existing production systems and operations.
Design and optimize mainframe databases.
Develop and execute test plans for changes.
Identify programming and operational risks in development/production environments.
Work with Business groups, Project Management, and Quality Control to ensure successful implementations.
Develop patches and/or innovative programs to support business enhancements.
Support for network management suite of applications delivery environment

The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
