Knowledge of:
Cutting-edge institutional food preparation methods and materials, including mastery of food temperatures, portioning techniques, and innovative storage practices.

Expertise in food preparation documentation, nutritional guidelines, and dietary considerations.

Comprehensive knowledge of local and state health regulations pertaining to institutional food services.

Precise handling and upkeep of cutting-edge kitchen equipment and materials used in food preparation.
Competent operation and maintenance of appliances and tools, ensuring optimal performance and safety in food preparation.
Strategic planning of food quantities and quality, perfectly aligning with menu demands in institutional or commercial settings.
Ability to:
Efficiently manage, maintain, and operate assigned equipment while adhering to safety protocols and standard procedures.
Confidently guide and train others in safe appliance and equipment operation, prioritizing safety practices.
Meet physical demands, including moderate lifting and operating equipment in varied temperatures, ensuring optimal performance.
Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with team members, residents, and external vendors.
Quickly and accurately interpret and execute oral and written instructions, including mathematical computations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Working Conditions
Work is subject to utilizing and safe operation of institutional size kitchen appliances and equipment.
Exposure to hot, scalding oil, grease and water.
Involves occasional to frequent moderate lifting of 25 to 50 pounds.
Safety-sensitive position pursuant to A.R.S. 23-493.
Requirements
3-5 years' experience as a Cook involved with the preparation and delivery of meals in a large scale commercial or institutional operation or related facility.
Or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities.
Must possess current food handler's certificate as provided by Mohave County Health Department or related governmental agency within 30 days of hire.
Obtain/maintain Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Card at employee's expense.
Obtain/maintain CPR Certification.
Complete annual Tuberculosis Testing.
Complete required in-service training.
