Overview
MED Institute is currently accepting applications for the position of Program Manager, Non-Clinical Studies. The person in this position will lead and provide over-site for non-clinical studies at MED Institute. This person will manage day-to-day activities cooperatively with others, provide leadership and direction for planning and conducting non-clinical studies, and prioritize team efforts in support of established company objectives. This person will be involved in business development activities related to non-clinical studies.
Responsibilities
• Understand client expectations and needs, provide solutions to R&D programs, while driving toward scientific excellence;
• Create a collaborative relationship to address needs of clients;
• Interact with management, technical leadership and clients to plan, complete, analyze and report results of studies, tests, and literature reviews;
• Drive the day-to-day, hands-on performance of non-clinical animal studies;
• Ensure compliance with regulations and applicable standards;
• Troubleshoot animal study issues, analyze, and interpret results;
• Assure that study deliverables and tasks are technically excellent and completed in a timely fashion;
• Assure that appropriate documentation is kept detailing project history (reports, laboratory notebooks, scientific literature, meeting notes, deliverables); and
• Maintain and develop the technical capabilities necessary to provide technical solutions to clients.
• Mentor and develop team members.
Qualifications
• BS degree or above in animal science, pharmaceutical science, or life sciences;
• Background in lab animal research;
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience;
• Ability to perform study duties and responsibilities in multiple species with minimal supervision;
• Must be flexible to work various schedules and hours as well as provide comprehensive, after hours, and on-call coverage as needed;
• Good communication skills and attention to detail;
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic team/work environment; and
• Comprehensive understanding of the requirements for GLP study execution and documentation is required.
