Constructs, installs, inspects, repairs and maintains building associated structures, furniture, cabinetry, partitions, roofs, floors, ceilings, signage and windows, walls, doors, door hardware and locks assemblies associated with the Plant Operations & Maintenance Department.Minimum Required: HS Diploma or equivalent. | LICENSE & CERTIFICATION: N/A. | 2 years direct experience, preferred.Performs skilled carpentry work, including repair and Installation of cabinets, furniture, shelves, brackets and dispensers etc.; makes and installs signage, makes building repairs (i.e. roofs, ceilings, floors, walls, etc.); repairs and installs doors, locks, windows; glass, replaces hardware; does rough and finished carpentry work, skilled and bench work and miscellaneous shop duties.
Installs and/or inspects new construction areas insuring all work meets or exceeds the design specifications along with meeting or exceeding all federal, state, and city codes.
Interprets prints, manuals, and diagrams to determine layout, location, parts and supplies needed to complete all assigned work orders/tasks in an efficient, safe and timely manner.
Accurately documents time and work performed on each task worked on.
May be required to inspect work performed by outside vendors and contractors insuring all work meets or exceeds all federal, state, and city codes and standards.
Assists other trade workers in performance of routine maintenance, renovation and construction projects.
Maintains housekeeping conditions as prescribed by area.
