Postdoctoral Research Fellow- School of Public Health (Finance)
The Department of Epidemiology at the UTHealth School of Public Health is seeking an exceptional candidate for a post-doctoral fellowship in birth defects epidemiology. In this position, the successful candidate will work with data from birth defects registries, cohorts, and case-control studies to conduct epidemiologic analyses to advance understanding of the causes and consequences of birth defects. This role involves advanced epidemiologic data analysis, familiarity with birth defects datasets and research, and experience conducting and publishing research on birth defects epidemiology in population-based samples. The postdoc will also collaborate with team members and external partners, contribute to manuscript preparation and publication of research findings, assist in securing grant funding, support necessary administrative research tasks (e.g., IRBs, MOUs, Progress Reports), and perform other assigned duties, thereby gaining valuable experience in research design, execution, and grantsmanship.
