A Day in the Life
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Finance Director to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Senior Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, driving performance, and contributing to the long-term financial success of the organization. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Medtronic Global FP&A and offers a unique opportunity to influence and shape financial strategies on a global scale, working closely with Executive Committee members, and key business and functional leaders across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy Development: Collaborate with the VP of Global FP&A and executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with Medtronic's overall business objectives. Plays a key role in shaping and delivering company-wide employee incentives, providing visibility and action to mitigate +$9 billion in global currency exposure, and helps drive bottom-line EPS and free cash flow visibility and growth.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including annual operating plan (AOP), forecasting, and long-term financial modeling, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the company's mission and performance-based directives.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior executives and the board of directors.
Strategic Decision Support: Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including with M&A, enterprise investment opportunities, and cost optimization efforts that drive company performance.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor an experienced finance team, including direct reports that are experts in financial modeling, currency reporting and analytics, employee incentives and free cash flow. The role also requires a leader that continuously fosters a collaborative, diverse, inclusive, and results-oriented work environment.
Performance Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities, partner with business to implement risk mitigation strategies for revenue, gross margin, spend, currency exposure, and working capital, and monitors the overall financial health of the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business and region CFO's, global employee rewards, tax, treasury, investor relations and controllership teams.
Continuous Improvement: In partnership with the Global FP&A Center of Excellence (COE) and Transformation team, drive process improvements that continuously enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$203,200.00 - $304,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
