Electro/Envir Specialist (F-15) (Engineering)

The Electro/Environmental Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing aircraft electro/environmental system components for the customer.
Key responsibilities include:
Troubleshoot, inspect, analyze, repair, and replace aircraft electrical and environmental systems as defined in DAFI 21-101.
May be cut-trained to perform general crew chief tasks to assist with Phase work card items.
Perform in-depth wire and electrical maintenance utilizing aircraft schematic diagrams.
Perform periodic scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the ECS, electrical and Molecular Sieve Oxygen Generation System.
Assist with aircraft ground operations, launch and recovery supporting the annual flying hour program.
Perform aircrew and maintenance debriefs, as required.
Perform duties as defined by applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs), along with any USAF like functions typically performed within their associated career field.
Any and all other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Qualified/certified 7-level E/E Specialist with a minimum of six (6) years F-15 experience or equivalent.
Experience handling low explosive items and prior explosives safety training.
Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flight line that may be noisy at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud at times. Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions, including the F-15 cockpit. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area. This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. Normal color/depth perception. No record of emotional instability.
