Jabil is seeking a Sr. Principal Solution Architect to lead the design, strategy, and implementation of server infrastructure solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in server architectures, cloud and on-premises integrations, and scalable infrastructure design.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to drive innovation, optimize performance, and ensure cost-effective, high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
What will you do? -
Lead solution development/architectural design to meet specific customer needs.
Analyze customer product solutions and evaluate product performance based on market requirements.
Understand and articulate server technology, understand customer environments and expectations.
Collaborate with fellow system architects in the mechanical, thermal, firmware, and software domains.
Lead technical engagements with customers to support design win opportunities.
Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to customer development and software teams.
Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions and work with internal teams to respond to customer inquiries when needed.
Partner with vendor specialists to build specific customer solutions.
Architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with customer objectives. and performance.
Develop and execute commodity strategies for server hardware components, including CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage, and networking.
Analyze market trends, technology roadmaps, and pricing fluctuations to make strategic sourcing decisions.
Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of components into production.
Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and technologies to drive innovation and competitiveness.
Support cross-functional initiatives related to supply chain resilience, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
How will you get here? –
Education:
BSEE, BSCS, BSCE from a 4 – year accredited school, is required
Experience:
15+ years of related engineering experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
Strong understanding of server technology and customer environments.
Strong understanding of server components, including processors, memory, storage, networking, and power systems.
Experience working with major OEMs, ODMs, and component suppliers in the server industry.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across engineering, operations, and business teams.
Experience with hyperscale data centers or cloud service providers.
Familiarity with server industry standards such as PCIe, DDR, NVMe, and Open Compute Project (OCP) specifications.
Knowledge of sustainability and regulatory compliance in server hardware procurement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
In-depth knowledge of server architectures, including x86, ARM, and GPU-based systems.
P06/ Annual Compensation Range:
$157,200/ $220, 100/ $282, 900
Annual Target Bonus: 30%
