As a Linux and Oracle Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers and Oracle databases. You will ensure system performance, security, and reliability, and provide support for various applications and services.
Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and Oracle databases.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Linux servers and Oracle databases.
Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies for database systems.
Optimize database performance through tuning and monitoring.
Ensure data integrity and security by applying patches and updates to Linux and Oracle systems.
Collaborate with development teams to support database-related projects.
Manage user access and permissions for Oracle databases.
Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
Document processes, procedures, and configurations for systems and databases.
Provide on-call support and troubleshoot incidents as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as a Linux Administrator and Oracle Database Administrator.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
Proficiency in Oracle Database management (installation, configuration, and troubleshooting).
Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience with scripting languages for automation (Bash, Python, etc.).
Knowledge of network protocols and security principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Oracle certification (OCA/OCP) is a plus
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.). Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
